Description:
|
|
The Bontex
Wastewater Treatment Facility treats approximately
300,000 gallons per day of effluent generated during
the production of latex saturated paper board.
Treatment begins with the addition of alum and
polymer followed by primary clarification. Effluent
from the primary clarifiers flows by gravity to an
intermediate equalization basin then is pumped to
one of two sequencing batch reactors where a
cosbubstrate is added to enhance biological
treatment. Effluent from the reactors flows to an
effluent equalization basin before being discharged
to the Maury River. Primary and secondary sludges
are dewatered with a vacuum filter then landfilled.
