From I-66 East take
the first Front Royal exit, this will get you on Rt
522. Cross North and South forks of the Shenandoah
River bridges, go straight through to 1st light.
Take a left at the second light. Stay in the left
lane till the next light, turn left on Commerce Ave.
Stay in left lane and make left at first light. This
is Commerce and Sixth Street. Follow Sixth St a
little less than 1/2 mile and look for Manassas Ave
and follow street to two sets of railroad tracks and
you will see the wwtp. |

This is a 4.0 MGD
conventional activated sludge treatment process with
an average flow of 2.74 MGD. The process includes
and influent pumping station, a comminutor, bar
screen, aerated grit chamber, primary clarifier,
aerobic digesters, activated sludge aeration basins,
mechanical mixers, secondary clarifiers,
chlorination, dechlorination, air blowers and
diffusers, and land application. |
